  3. TextPad(tm) 1.29 is a fast and powerful text editor for 16 and 32-bit
  4. versions of MS Windows(tm), which includes the following features:

  6. ~ Huge files can be edited (up to the limits of virtual memory for the
  7.   32-bit edition).
  8. ~ Supports Universal Naming Convention (UNC) style names, and long file
  9.   names with spaces.
  10. ~ CUA compliant keyboard mapping.
  11. ~ Multiple simultaneous edits with up to 2 views per file.
  12. ~ Text can be automatically word-wrapped, at the margin or a specified
  13.   column, if it does not fit on a line. In this mode, text can be split
  14.   into separate lines where wrapping occurs, or lines can be joined,
  15.   preserving paragraphs.
  16. ~ In addition to the usual cut, copy and paste capabilities, selected
  17.   text can be case shifted and block indented, characters, words and
  18.   lines can be transposed, and whole files can be inserted.
  19. ~ OLE Drag and drop editing for copying and moving text between documents.
  20. ~ Cut and copied text can be appended to the clipboard, as well as
  21.   replacing its contents.
  22. ~ Unlimited undo/redo capability.
  23. ~ Block (column) selection mode, and visible display of tabs and spaces.
  24. ~ Text can be automatically aligned and indented relative to the previous
  25.   line to aid block indentation.
  26. ~ The caret can be constrained to the text, or can be positioned freely
  27.   in the document view.
  28. ~ The right mouse button pops up an in-context menu.
  29. ~ Toolbar with fly-by usage hints, and an active status bar.
  30. ~ A powerful search/replace engine using UNIX-style regular expressions,
  31.   with the power of editor macros. Sets of files can be searched (grep),
  32.   and text can be replaced in all open documents at once.
  33. ~ Visible bookmarks can be placed on individual lines, and on all
  34.   occurrences of a search pattern.
  35. ~ A built in file manager for fast file copying, renaming, deleting etc.
  36. ~ Print previewing, and printing with customizable headers/footers, and
  37.   user-defined page breaks.
  38. ~ Browser for binary files using a hexadecimal display format.
  39. ~ Built in file comparison utility, and up to 16 user-defined tools with
  40.   argument macros.
  41. ~ Hypertext links from file search and user tool output to the relevant
  42.   source line.
  43. ~ DDE interface to other tools, such as VC++.  The editor detects when an
  44.   open file has been modified by another tool, and prompts you to reopen it.
